    1. When you are in the First Party Data section, you will need to meet the following requirements to upload your data:

      1. Acceptable formats: Standard emails and hashed emails.

      2. No required header in the .CSV file.

      3. No blank rows are allowed in the dataset.

      4. Minimum of 5,000 records.

      5. Ensure that no emails relate to residents living in the European Economic Area or China.

      6. List only email addresses, with each on a separate line.

      7. Upload a CSV file, which should be under 500 MB in size.

      8. Note that your segment will expire after 90 days from the last refresh.

      5. Wait for the upload process to complete.

      6. You can upload multiple first party data lists.

  5. To replace an existing segment, select the segment and click on "Replace," even if it has expired.

  6. Matching Process

    1. After you have uploaded your custom audience, you will see a display message indicating that the matching process can take up to 72 hours. Please note that you cannot launch campaigns with first party data until the matching process is complete.

  7. Notification and Campaign Creation

    1. Once the matching process is complete, you will be notified to go back to the Brand Settings. You will only be able to select segments with an onboarding status of "active" in the campaign creation process. If you have no custom audiences available, the following message will be displayed: "You don't have any custom audiences available. To view the status of your custom audience or upload a custom audience, please navigate to Brand Settings." The "Brand Settings" text will be hyperlinked to the "Email Data" section.

  8. First Party Data Status and Information When your data is uploaded, you can view the following information regarding the matching process:

    1. Segment Name

    2. Onboarding Status (Processing, Active, or Expired)

    3. Record Count

    4. Active ID's (Gives an idea of the audience size)

    5. Data retention time left (Expired Label)

  9. Data Retention and Lifespan

    1. Please note that Brandzooka retains your data for 90 days due to privacy laws. To increase the lifespan of your segment, you need to upload new data.

  10. Data Deletion and Replacement

    1. Once first party data is uploaded, it cannot be deleted. You can only replace the existing data with new uploads.

Using First Party Data in a Campaign

  1. To begin using your first-party data segments, you need to create a draft campaign. A draft campaign requires the following information:

    1. Campaign Name: Enter a unique name for your campaign.

    2. Budget: Specify the budget allocation for this campaign.

      1. Note: Both the campaign name and budget are required fields for draft campaigns.

  2. Audience Targeting

    1. After creating a draft campaign, proceed to the "Audience Targeting" section. Here, you can define the audience for your campaign using first-party data segments. To do this:

    2. Locate and select the "Upload an Audience" option.

  3. Selecting an Audience In the "Upload Audience" section, you can choose from a list of available audience targeting options. However, only segments with a status of "Processing" or "Succeeded" can be selected. Segments with other statuses will not be available for selection.

    1. Review the list of audience segments available for targeting.

    2. Select one or multiple segments that have a "Processing" or "Succeeded" status.

      1. Note: It is important to note that you cannot stack any other audience types, such as "Build your Own Audience," on this campaign when using first-party data segments.

  4. Applying Audience Targeting After selecting the desired audience segments, apply them to your campaign. This step ensures that your campaign targets the chosen audience effectively.

    1. Click on the "Next" or "Close" button to assign the selected audience targeting to your campaign.

Congratulations! You have successfully utilized your first-party data segments in your campaign. Your advertising efforts will now be tailored to the specific audience you have chosen.
