Introduction:

This user manual provides step-by-step instructions on how to run a forecast for a campaign in Brandzooka's forecasting tool. Forecasting helps estimate campaign performance and key metrics, allowing you to make data-driven decisions for your advertising campaigns.

Prerequisites:

Before running a forecast, ensure you have access to Brandzooka's campaign builder. You can either select an existing draft campaign or create a new campaign.

Step 1: Accessing the Forecasting Tool

Navigate to the campaign builder in Brandzooka.

  • You can either select an already existing draft campaign or create a new campaign if needed.

Step 2: Setting Up the Forecast

To generate a forecast, you need to provide the following inputs:

  • Campaign Basics:

    • Set up the fundamental details of your campaign, such as campaign name, objectives, budget, and schedule.

  • Creative:

    • You can only run a forecast with an uploaded creative. And your creative selection will dictate what kind of forecast is ran. If you do not have creative ready, you can still upload placeholder creatives to run a successful forecast.

      • Important note about creatives: Brandzooka runs an individual forecast for each creative type to ensure the highest accuracy of predicted performance. For example, if you have an audio creative and a display banner, you will see three different forecasts:

        • One forecast for the audio campaign.

        • One forecast for the display banner campaign.

        • An "all" forecast that blends the two creative types together.

  • Audience Targeting:

    • Define your target audience by specifying demographics, interests, and behaviors. Keep note, if you'd like to target a specific audience outside of the paramaters in the audience builder. Reach out to your account representative to map in a custom audience.

  • Geo-Targeting:

    • Set geographical targeting parameters to determine where your ads will be shown.

  • Note: All the parameters mentioned above are required to run an accurate forecast.

Step 3: Running the Forecast

  • After setting up your campaign with the necessary parameters, click the "Generate Forecast" button to initiate the forecasting process.

    • Please be patient as the Forecast tool may take several minutes to provide results, depending on the complexity of your campaign.

Step 4: Reviewing the Results

The forecasting tool will return the following results for each creative type with the following statistics:

  • CPM (Cost Per Mille):

    • The estimated range of cost per thousand impressions your ad receives. This measurement can very based on the size and scope of your campaign and by the inventory you target on. c. ??lets disclose that its a CPM range and that depending on size and scope this can vary??

  • Reach:

    • The estimated number of unique individuals your campaign will reach.

  • Impressions:

    • The estimated range for the total number of ad impressions your campaign will generate.

  • Max Device Reach:

    • this is the maximum potential audience size, not what the campaign will reach It's what you COULD reach.

At any time, you can review an already generated forecast for a campaign that hasn't changed by clicking into the campaign, and previously where you clicked "Generate Forecast" instead it will be "View Forecast"

Step 5: Regenerating a forecast

If a user has made any updates to the following parameters after running a forecast for a campaign such as; Campaign Basics, Creatives, Inventory Targeting, Audience Targeting, or Geo-targeting then a user can "Regenerate a forecast" which will take into account these new changes and provide you with the most accurate information relevant to your campaign.

Conclusion:

Accurate forecasting is crucial for planning and optimizing your advertising campaigns effectively. If you have any questions or encounter issues during the forecasting process, don't hesitate to reach out to Brandzooka's customer support for assistance.
