Having a tracking pixel on your website is essential for measuring the performance of your digital marketing efforts, optimizing your campaigns, and making data-driven decisions to achieve your marketing goals. It provides valuable insights and enables you to target and engage your audience more effectively, ultimately helping you maximize the impact of your online advertising efforts. Below is a step-by-step guide on how to access Brandzooka's pixel generator and how to implement it so that you can start analyzing your data more effectively.

Our Step-by-step guide:

Access Your Tracking Pixel:

  1. Log in to your Brandzooka account, navigate to your Brand and enter Brand Config.

  2. Once in Brand Config, navigate to the 'Tracking Tags' tab

  3. Once clicked, you will see a toggle between Universal Pixel and Tracking Tags.

    1. What is a Universal Pixel and Tracking Tag?

      1. Universal Pixel: With a Universal Pixel, advertisers can streamline the collection and analysis of data, allowing them to gain valuable insights into the effectiveness of their advertising campaigns across various platforms, all without the need for separate tracking codes. This simplifies data management and facilitates the optimization of advertising strategies.

      2. Tracking Tags: Utilizing tracking tags allows advertisers to monitor user interactions with their ads and websites, enabling them to gain insights into the effectiveness of their ads, audience interest, and whether desired actions, such as product purchases or sign-ups, are occurring.

Copy the Code:

  1. Select and copy the Universal Pixel or Tracking Tag within the Builder and place your code exactly where you need it.

    1. Universal Pixels: Place the pixel in the header of your website. Once played, any page on your site may be used for Retargeting or Conversions. You can Enable the Audience Tracking toggle to monitor visits to your site.

      1. Find the appropriate location within the <head> section to paste the tracking pixel code. This is where the code will be executed on every page of your website. Paste the code just before the closing </head> tag.

    2. Tracking Tags: These tags are most commonly placed within Google Tag Manager. Tracking Tags can be uniquely named and placed within certain pages on your website. For data to start flowing, you need to visit your Google Tag Manager (GTM) account and set up your Tags and Triggers for each conversion event you want to start tracking.

      1. Reminder: Brandzooka does not have access to your GTM account, but we do have another article explaining a step-by-step process for generating a new Tag and trigger here. For any technical questions or issues, please follow Google's step-by-step instructions.

Save/Publish Your Website:

After pasting the tracking pixel code, save or publish your website to ensure the changes take effect.

Testing the Pixel:

  1. It's important to test whether the tracking pixel is working correctly. You can do this by visiting your website and checking the reporting or analytics dashboard on your Brandzooka account. Look for data indicating the pixel firing per user interaction, such as page views or conversions.

    1. Reminder: Data can take 24 hours to start populating within the platform. Double-check that your pixels are placed properly if it’s been over 24 hours and you are not seeing any data.

Monitor and Optimize:

  1. Please regularly monitor the data collected by the tracking pixel to see if you can use your advertising campaigns. Use this data to make informed decisions and optimize your campaigns for better results.

Troubleshooting:

  1. If you have problems with the tracking pixel, please double-check the placement of the code in your website's HTML or GTM Account, make sure it is the correct pixel code, and review any error messages or logs for insights.

Remember that specific website builders or services may have unique instructions or requirements for implementing tracking pixels, so it's essential to consult their documentation or support resources for any additional guidance. Additionally, consider working with a web developer or your technical support team if you encounter difficulties during the implementation process.

In conclusion, Pixels are the bridge between your advertising efforts and measurable results, ensuring that every click and interaction on your website is a valuable insight that can shape your future marketing endeavors.
