Overview: Brandzooka’s audience builder is giving you control to target exactly who you want in your campaigns. Now you have access to the full library of targetable data, from over 200 data partners.

Glossary:

Segments: collections of targetable devices grouped together by specific behaviors/activities and used as a targetable audience.

Behavior: how the campaign will target or avoid the selected data segments. Include will target; exclude will omit.

Data group: the group of selected segments and the selected behavior as it relates to the whole audience.

Active Persons: the sum of anonymized users matched to the active devices for segments.

Brand: the company that owns and provides the data segment.

How to build an audience:

  1. From your BRAND window, navigate to the audiences tab on the left-hand menu.

  2. The window will display any audiences you’ve created, which you can edit. It will also allow you to create a new audience. Click on CREATE AN AUDIENCE.

  3. Name your audience.

  4. Select your data group behavior, either include or exclude.

  5. Name your data group (optional).

  6. Search and select your targeting segments. Use the search bar to find the segments you want to target, and select the segments that match your target audience. You can select as many segments as you feel necessary.

  7. If you’re looking to refine your audience further, or exclude certain behaviors/people from that first data group, you can add another data group by clicking the ADD ANOTHER DATA GROUP button (optional).

    1. Having 2 data groups with “include” behaviors will target people who are a part of Data Group 1 AND also part of Data Group 2.

    2. Having 1 data group with “include” behavior, and 1 data group with “exclude” behavior will target people who are a part of the “included” data group, AND NOT part of the “excluded” data group.

  8. Add a description of your audience (optional).

  9. Save your audience.

Once your audience is saved, it will become available to target in any new or current campaign in your brand.
